There are some rare occasions where even though the nut or bolt is an American Standard fastener, the Hot Topper® may not achieve a friction fit.  In that case simply install a drop of silicone on the inside wall of the Hot Topper® using Napa® part number 765-1470 or facsimile.

     Please DO NOT USE adhesive products to mount HOT TOPPERS®. The Napa® product we recommend will allow for an easier removal when service is required. We simply fill our cover with the necessary amount of silicone to achieve a firm hold on the fastener, yet beware that the silicone will expand when it sets up so don't over fill our part. A little dab goes a long way.
