Hot Topper covers are designed to fit by tension on American Standard fasteners. Our fellow motorcyclists who use Hot Toppers on their original Harley Davidson motorcycles simply push them on and they are done. The inside diameter of the Hot Topper matches the outside of the bolt head for a perfect friction fit. But because your import vehicle is assembled with metric nuts and bolts which are either bigger or smaller than the Harley fasteners, the Hot Toppers do not fit and therefore they will not stay on the bike. Now because the Harley V-Rod features metric fasteners we of course had to come up with a solution to this fitment problem.
The solution is to select the Hot Topper that is closest to the size of the metric bolt you are trying to cover and put some silicone adhesive inside to hold it in place. Simple as that. We use silicone or RTV versus a super glue or a more permanent adhesive product because we want you to be able to get the Hot Topper off without destroying it during a service procedure. As you know your metric bike and even the new Harleys rarely require service teardown so chances are you won’t be removing the mounted Hot Toppers very often.

Each of these kits contain one of each of every Hot Topper we offer. You buy the kit and use it determine how many of which Hot Topper you want to use where. The kit contains many special shapes and sizes Hot Toppers including many large and more expensive Hot Toppers that riders sometimes use to cover swing arm, front and rear axle nuts and bolts. We know you will probably not use all the 25 different Hot Toppers included but we want you to be exposed to them all so you have a chance to find the perfect one for your particular project.
